Sign a PDF

Add your real signature to any PDF: draw it, type it, or take a photo of it on paper. PDFabob removes the paper background so it looks like you signed the page.

Choose a PDF to sign

Free. No sign-up. Your file never leaves your device.

How it works

  1. Open your PDF.
  2. Click Sign. Draw your signature, type it, or choose Image and pick a photo or scan of your handwritten signature.
  3. Click the page to place it, drag to move it, use the corner handle to resize it, then click Download.

Using a photo of your signature

Sign your name on plain white paper with a dark pen and take a photo. Under Sign → Image, the paper turns transparent and only the ink is kept. A slider lets you fine-tune it for shadows or grey paper. Your signature is saved in this browser so you can reuse it next time.

Initials on every page

Place your initials once, then click To all pages to copy them to the same spot on every page. The Date, Check and Text tools handle the rest of most forms.

Questions

Is this a legally binding signature?

PDFabob adds a visual signature, just like signing a printout and scanning it. That's accepted for many everyday documents, but it isn't a certificate-based digital signature. If a document specifically requires one, use the service the sender asks for.

Where is my signature stored?

Only in your own browser. It's never uploaded.

Can I sign on my phone or tablet?

Yes, you can draw with your finger or a stylus.
